I have been learning english for many years,yet still I find myself understanding too little about the language..Remembering there was one time,I made a really funny misunderstanding with two teenagers when I rode my second handed bike on the street.A couple boys stared at my bike with sort of wierd looking,and told me loudly .'Your bike is really gay!' I returned them a big smile and said 'Thanks'.This reduced them laugh to tears.I just wondered what hell of funny thing I had done at the moment for a quite while.Not untill couple of years later,I found the reason.The word 'Gay' in spoken English refers to homosexuality in between males far from the meaning of happy or joyful that was taught by dictionaries or my teachers.In that instant,the boys mentioned the word ‘gay’did not imply that my bike to be cool or lovely.Rather they told me that the bike looked funny and crappie.Why fucking should I feel happy by throwing thanks at them.They laughed at me and thought me as a retarded idiot.This just one of these moments always reminded me how embarrassing is with the truly misinterpretations.
