On the bow skills of Erhu
Abstract: The erhu is one of the most representative national instrument in China. Because of its wide sound range, mellow sound tone, very expressive, ethnic characteristics and other unique artistic charm, it is widely popular. In recent years, with the continuous development of the erhu teaching theory and practice, performance techniques are becoming increasingly rich and diverse. But the main skills are remain the same such as so-called "third fingering method, seven bow skill", "" bow skill "" of erhu in the rehearsal process is always the core of the technical aspects, also is a key skill to measure the level of erhu playing. How to play the potential function of the right arm and right hand, take the boe as the carrier, use right force in the bow speed and intensity changing, grasp the pitch, control good sound tone, are the most difficulty for beginners of Erhu. It is also the focus point in teaching and research.
