Dr Li's research interests relate to the practices of human resource management in contemporary Chinese organisations:strategic challenges and opportunities.It considers the place of HRM in Chinese public and private sector organisations in view to establish the strategic contribution of HRM to organisational performance.She is also interested in exploring the following issues in China:Work family conflict and the development of HR profession.Dr Li is actively engaged with research activities in publications,books,international and national refereed conferences and a number of research funds.She was also invited as a PhD external examiner for a management thesis from one of the Australian universities,and also receved an invitation from one of the American conference programme committees to be both a conference track chair and a session chair in the states.
