同时,在塑料袋的构成成分中,有些成分本来对人身体健康来说本来就具有一定毒性.聚氯乙烯是一种有毒化工原料,遇到酸性和油性物质,尤其是接触到热的食品,这些有毒有害物质会“迁移”到食品中,长期使用可能导致慢性中毒.而且,聚氯乙烯树脂在加工成塑料袋的过程中,还要加入一些增塑剂、颜料等有毒的辅助材料,塑料稳定剂的主要成分是硬脂酸铅,也有毒性.这种铅极易析出,一旦进入人体就会造成积蓄性铅中毒.聚苯乙烯本身是无毒的,但聚苯乙烯树脂聚合残留的单体苯乙烯及其他一些挥发性物质,包括乙烯、异丙苯、甲苯等,有一定毒性.发泡塑料餐具主要原料就是聚苯乙烯.日本有关专家发现,用来包装快餐面和食品的聚苯乙烯容器含有有毒成分,它可以损害人和动物的生育能力.
