The Benefits of Volunteering
Volunteering is a tiny word,but needs great actions.As we all know,December 5 is the international Volunteering Day,and our country now has 4.5 million registered volunteers who have provided more than 4.5 billion hours of volunteer work.Someone said that this kind of work is nonsense and waste our time.In my view,this kind of people are the foxes who couldn’t eat the grape and think it is bad just to comfort themselves.If you don’t try it,you won’t know how it benefits your life.
I strongly believe that volunteering can bring us a lot of benefits.The first part I want to mention is we are undergraduates,and most of us want to get involved in activities that are out of our textbooks.At this time,volunteering just creates precious opportunities for us to experience new things.For instance,many undergraduates went to Beijing to serve as volunteers in all kinds of works this summer.There they could apply what they have learnt to reality.Work experience were obtained while you were volunteering.That’s really a good chance to put our knowledge into practice.There is,in addition,one further point to make.We are living in a circumstance far away from the real society,and volunteering can shorten the distance to some extent.When we are volunteering,we cannot avoid connecting with different kinds people from different areas.So during the work,we start to learn our society,and begin to derive ability to communicate successfully and politely with others.It really can make it easier for us to adapt the society after graduation.
All in all,volunteering is a form of practice,experience,benefit,etc.we should not say no to it.It can bring you benefits to catch your bright future,and also build a harmonious society for our country.
