1.现在进行时,表示现在正在发生或进行的动作,常见于以下四种情况：①句中有now,right now,at the moment,It's+时刻等时,如,It's nine p.m.and Mary is watching TV.②句中有listen,look等引起听话人注意的词,如,Look,the plane is flying over the river.③句中有these days,all the time等时间状语,表示当前一直在进行的活动,如,I'm reading books about history these days.④通过上下文能明确得知某动作在说话时正在进行,如,－Where is your mother?－She is in the kitchen.She is making a birthday cake.
2.一般过去时,表示在过去某一时间发生的动作或存在的状态,常与表示过去的时间状语、日期及短语连用,有last week,on May 1st,2005,the other day,just now等,或根据句意确定某一动作在说话之前已经发生,如,Your phone number again.I didn't quite catch it.也可以表示过去某一时间经常发生的动作,如,They often went to work by bike a year ago.
3.祈使句是典型的无主句,在应用时要注意其答语,如,Lucy,take these boxes to the garden.肯定回答：Yes,I will.否定回答：Sorry,I can't carry them.又如,－Don't draw on the table.－Of course I won't.（之前没有做过）或Sorry,I won't do it again.（之前做过）
