The under-hearth of the blast furnace will be built with graphite carbon block.The small sized mold-pressed carbon block will be used in the hearth area and the ceramic-cup technology based on the compound corundum will be employed on the heat-contacting surface.Moreover,the compound corundum brick is used surrounding the tap-hole and tuyere area.The area for bosh,belly and the lower part of the stack will be lined with aluminum brick and clay brick is only used in the upper part of the stack.Where paint with 70 mm thick of gunning material due to no any cooling equipment at the upper stack.
1.2.1.2 BF cooling equipment
Four-sections plain stave cooler made by gray iron are designed for the under-hearth and hearth area.The stiffened stave cooler is inserted in the bosh and belly.The ribbed stave cooler made by QT400-18 ductile iron are employed in the middle and lower part of the BF stack.
Process water cooling with open circuit is designed
Two indrirect circulating systems are used,of which
BF circulating system with flow rate of 1,900 t/h for BF proper and 600 t/h for stove
HP circulating system used for cooling of tuyere and small cooler of cinder notch with flow rate of 330 t/h
1.2.1.4 BF structure
The 450 m3 blast furnace is of stand free type with steel frame structure for supporting of 5 platforms and the skip bridge.The column spacing of 11 meters is envisaged
Coke and sinter will be separately screened and weighed.Iron ore and flux is not screened and will be carried by belt conveyor and unloaded into the hopper inside the skip pit,and then charged into the BF top by the skip charger.
The undersized coke and ore will be transferred to the undersized bins separately for coke and ore via belt conveyor and then carried outside by truck for recovery.
The weighing hopper under the stock house are hydraulic driven,which is supplied by an independent hydraulic power pack.
The skip bridge with double skip cars together with the bell-less top charging equipment used for the top charging system is foreseen.
The automatic mode and manual mode will be used in furnace loading and top charging.The interlock control will be realized through PLC.Various data and equipment operation conditions will be displayed on CRT and the operation is also made via CRT.
The BF proper is equipped with one iron notch,one cinder notch and 14 tuyeres.This furnace will tap for 13 times per day,depending on the tapping weight and four 45 t hot metal ladle cars,which are stayed underneath the cast house platform will be used for carrying hot metal to the SMS for steel making or pig casting machine for cold pig production.
One cinder notch is designed along with a fully hydraulic operated folding cinder-notch stopper.
One hydraulic operated tap hole driller and one 0.16 m3 hydraulic clay gun to be installed at the same side of the tap hole is foreseen.
