We often hear people say “Never give up.” That is true. If you are someone who believes in it, you will keep trying to reach your goal and dream no matter how many times you fail. Of course, that goal should fit you. For example, now that I’m wearing glasses, it’ll be impossible for me to be a pilot. So you need to choose the right goal for yourself and try your best to reach it. See, nothing is difficult if you put your heart to it and nothing is easy if you don’t try your best. “Never give up” are words of determination. And the quality of your determination to succeed is important.
I think all of us know about the great American inventor Edison. He invented the electric light bulb which is quite common now in our life. Do you know how many times he failed? I suspect thousands of times. Think about it: if he had given up, would there be electric lights here on this stage? Maybe not. Edison didn’t give up. His goal was to figure out the way to make an electric light. See, if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. It is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again, just like Edison.
Someone gives up after making a mistake. Mistakes are not that bad. Sometimes we can learn something valuable from our mistake, and that can help you a lot. If you don’t try again after making one mistake, all the things you’ve learned are wasted.
And I once watched a movie called Little Miss Sunshine. Olive’s dad said something very profound. He said” The difference between winners and losers is that winners don’t give up.” I agree.
