注意：常看到中国人说 one of the elites, 但这个短语意思是（若干）精英集体之一,因为elite 是集合名词,就像我们说：one of the groups, one of the classes, one of the families.很明显,若要表示这r些集体的成员之一,就应该加上可表示个体成员的词.ALD 上面就有这样例句：a member of the ruling / intilectual elite, 译成“上层统治集团的 / 知识界的精英.
另一个可考虑的表达方法是 one from / belonging to the elite (group).
若用 one of elite 似也勉强可以接受,但决不能 o说one of the elites.
