Most of the time I will.But usually I would
not express my gratitude to someone to whom I am pretty familiar,like my
family.Because I think it’s too polite to say thank you to them,and that will
make an alienated air and even sour our relationship.However,if I receive any
help from a person I am supposed to associate with in a proper manner,I’ll
definitely express my gratitude.
With respect to the argument that “Should we
express our gratitude or not”.Of course we can’t choose a negative stand.It
is often the case that what people who offer us generous help need is an
expression of thanks,which conveys your appreciation of their warm-hearted
efforts to get you through difficulties and convince them that you are worth
their kindness.On the opposite,if we hold an indifferent attitude to others’
help,maybe we’ll fail to get any further help.We shouldn’t take anything for
granted.Nobody is born to help us.
As I’ve said,a man of good moral principles should always appreciate
and sometimes express our gratitude to those who help us.Even out of the
consideration on the undue courtesy,we are not used to say thank you to our
most beloved ones.But what we should keep in our mind for good is that they
are those who need our utmost gratitude and deepest affection in the world.
