Dear Carmen,
I'm in Italy.I can't believe that it only took me 12 hours to get there.I remember my first trip to Euope,in 1930,with my parents.It was a fantastic trip.It took us one mouth to get there.We made one stop at theisland of Cuba,where the sailors carried heavy boxes of fruit and food for the passengers.The woman on the ship dressed very nicely and the man wore hats.We ate delicious food and drank a lot of fruit juice.
There was a special room for small children,where we played games.One night,there was a big dance in the main dining room.Only adults wereallowed but I hid under one of the tables and watched the show.Your great-grandparents danced all night.It was a lot of fun.The next stop was an island.Some passengers left the ship there.What wonderful memories!
