(8)my变成his,这里讲的是我的朋友Nick的故事,所以用第三人称单数,男他用his；
（9）but变成and,语气承接递进,而不是转折,所以用and.

一个什么东西或事务，应该要加限定词，如：一朵花，a flower, 所以story 是名词，而且用a或the，但第一次出现，不能用the（表示已知），复数就要用stories.
表地点，在哪里，用in，on表示在什么上，所以要用in the yard,在院子里，on the ground在地面上。
saying表示写着，表示当时所处的状态。
