英语语法 介词能带动名词短语吗?
First problem:
Then he went to his home in the state of Missouri to wait the rest of country for the election results.(原句)
with……是介词短语吧?for the election results是country的补足语吧?
Second problem:
He would join other Western leaders in establishing a new alliance,NATO,to provide for the joint defense of Europe and North America.(原句)
in是不是介词呢?就像defend sb.against一样in+动名词短语只是join的第二宾语呢?to……应该是作状语,表建立联盟的目的吧?
最后一个小问题:Western leaders W为什么大写?是表Western world,还是Western Eurpoe?

2、in介词 in doing的用法；本身就是join in doing；to+...短语作状语,表目的是对的；
3、W大写形式,专有名词；North Atlantic Treaty Organization --- NATO,北大西洋公约组织,应该是西方国家领导人,首脑人；西方列强的意味.
