experience什么时候可数,什么时候不可数

Zhang Jia,a 16-year-old student,s______ in a high school.这里为什么要填studied,不能填studing?

1 没有区别‘ 在街上’
in是英国用法,on是美国用法.
2 experience 作为‘经历’是可数；作为‘ 经验’ 是不可数.
如

to have over ten years' teaching experience\x05
有十多年教学经验
3 studied 作谓语 ( studying 分词不能单独作谓语）
