装饰画是艺术设计专业（装饰艺术设计方向）的一门学科基础必修课.它是一种以大众审美趣味为主线,传达主流、唯美理想的公共艺术,是人们对社会现实生活感性认识最具生动的提炼与表现,是具有表现意味的一种设计形式.它是各类环境装饰艺术设计的重要基础,是体现中外装饰风格、装饰形式语言、装饰表现手法的综合体.该课程使学生对装饰画有全面的认识和了解,要求掌握装饰画的构图、造型与色彩以及装饰画的表现技法,材料的特性和构成法则,在实际创作中,锻炼学生的动手能力,培养学生的设计思维,提高学生的审美能力.

Teaching Aims and Requirements:
Decorative Painting is a compulsory course for students of Art Design (Decorative Art Design). It is a kind of public art to convey mainstream, aesthetic ideal mainly based on popular aesthetic taste, which is the most vivid refinement and expression of people to their perpetual cognition on real life in the society, and is a design form of performance meanings. Fundamental to various environmental decorative art designs, it is a synthesis of foreign and Chinese decoration styles, forms and techniques.
This course is designed to acquaint students of decorative painting in all respects. Students are required to master the composition, modeling, color,
expression technique, material property and composition principle of decorative painting through this course, train their operating ability through practical creation, develop their design thinking, and improve their aesthetic judgment.
