把第一句还原,为he works the place ,明显不对,缺少了介词,应该为he works in the place ,再变成定语从句,就是this is the place in which he works,where就等于in which ,所以又转化为原句this is the place where he works.第二句还原：we visited this is place ,visit是及物动词,后面可以直接跟宾语,所以原句不缺成分,直接改为定语从句：this is the place which we visited
