关于making of the clock 中making of的用法.
新概念中有这么一句话:
he was responsible for the making of the clock.
他负责建造这座大钟.
我查的字典make of 是用...制造的意思.怎么看都觉得有点别扭.而且making是动名词用法,把of去掉的话,直接用making the clock,不是更方便么?
原句是 for the making of 所以我认为是做动名词中的名词用法,而如果改成我所想的 for making 那应该应该是做动名词中动词的用法了.二楼的朋友说做动名词更不妥了,

依我看来,这里的making动名词是比较通顺的 没什么不妥 如果LZ改的话 建议改成：he was responsible for the clock making.如果改成：he was responsible for making the clock.responsible 后面不会连接 ing 的现在进行时形式的 如果做动名词就更不妥了.参考一下.PS:我的问题通常都是快100分的悬赏,LZ真的有点节约.
