"why is that?" she wanted to know .

one of the old men explained:"his name is wealth ,this is success, and i'm love ."then he added ,"now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home ."

then the woman went in and told her husband .her husband said ,"let's invite wealth.let him come and fill our home with wealth !"his wife disagreed ,"my dear why don't we invite success?"then daughter made a suggetion:"would it be better to invite love ?our home will then be fiied with love !"let's make our daughter's advice."said the father .

so the woman went out and asked ,"which one of you is love ?please come in and be our guest."love got up and started walking toward the house .the other two alsogot up and followed him. surpeised, the lady asked wealth and success:"i only invited love .why are you coming in ?"

the old menreplied together :"if you invited wealth or success, the other two of us would have stayed out, but since you invited love ,wherever he gose ,we go with him .wherever there is love ,there is also wealth and success.

2.Will I die soon?
Many years ago, when I was working as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Lisa. The poor little girl had a very serious disease(疾病)and was dying. The doctor had done his best but no medicine really worked. The only chance to save her seemed to be a blood transfusion(输 血)from her five-year-old brother. The little boy had the same disease before and had developed the antibodies(抗体)to fight the illness. The doctor talked to the little bo y about what they planned to do, and asked him if he would like to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate(迟疑) for a moment. Then he took a deep breath and said, "Yes, I'll do it if it can save Lisa." As the transfusion was going on, the little boy lay quietly in bed next to his sister. He looked at her and smiled all the time. When everything was done and the color returned to his sister's face, his smile disappeared and he looked a little afraid. He looked up at the doctor and asked, "Will I start to die now?" He was too young to understand the doctor. He thought he would have to give all his blood to his sister, but he agreed.

3.Can dreams come true?
John Godley bet money that his dreams could come true. Over the course of his life, Mr. Godley dreamed of horse races several times. He did not know much about horses or horseracing, but in his dreams he saw the names of the horses that won races. He remembered these dreams after he woke up, and he put what he knew to good use.
The first time Mr. Godley dreamed of horses was on the night of Friday, March 8, 1946. Mr. Godley dreamed that he was reading the names of the horse from his dream in the newspaper. The horses were racing that day. He bet on the horses and won.
These horseracing dreams came to Mr. Godley off and on for the next 12 years of his life. Between 1946 and 1958, Mr. Godley had eight dreams about horses winning races. He always bet his dreams, and he always won.
Mr. Godley never knew why the dreams started or why they stopped. Was he lucky or did he have a special gift? The world may never know.

5.Is It Worth It?
Horror gripped the heart of the World War I soldier as he saw his lifelong friend fall in battle.Caught in a trench with continuous gunfire whizzing over his head, the soldier asked his lieutenant if he might go out into the "No Man's Land" between the trenches to bring his fallen comrade back.
"You can go,"said the Lieutenant,"but I don't think it will be worth it.Your friend is probably dead and you may throw your own life away."The Lieutenant's words didn't matter, and the soldier went anyway.
Miraculously he managed to reach his friend, hoisted him onto his shoulder, and brought him back to their company's trench. As the two of them tumbled in together to the botom of the trench, the officer checked the wounded soldier, then looked kindly at his friend."I told you it wouldn't be worth it,"he said."Your friend is dead, and you are mortally wounded."
"It was worth it,though, sir,"the soldier said.
"How do you mean,'worth it'?" responded the Lieutenant."Your friend is dead!"
"Yes sir,"the private answered."But it was worth it because when I got to him,he was still alive, and I had the satistaction of hearing him say,'Jim,I knew you'd come.'"
Many a time in life, whether a thing is worth doing or not really depends on how you look at it.
Take up all your courage and do something your heart tells you to do so that you may not regret not doing it later in life.
