10年之后,海之女神却并没有现身.极度失望的Davy Jones,转为愤怒,召集其他9位海盗至尊,携手抓住了海之女神并用九个西班牙银币作为法器把她封于肉身之中.Davy Jones 并没有参与最后的封印,而是用另一个法术,割下了自己的心脏,作为不死船长,仍背负着海之女神赋予他的使命,孤单的漂流在大海上.
Davy Jones 觉得爱得这么痛苦实在太不值得了,一直强烈的隐藏自己对Calypso 的爱意,不断的表现自己残忍的一面,甚至建议过杀死Calypso,但是这一切都在再一次见到Calypso 的时候,失去了意义.
剧情末尾,当Captain Jack船长握着利刃却不忍向Davy Jones 的心刺下,一个因爱而疯狂的人是值得同情的,一颗因爱而受伤的心,谁又忍心去再刺伤他?
Davy Jones真正的死因,是他和Calypso爱情的终结.当Calypso被解脱人形的束缚沉入海底的那一刻,他们之间的爱情带着无限的怨恨和遗憾被彻底埋葬了.既然爱情死了,那颗受尽磨难和煎熬的心,失去了最后的希望,注定是要死的.
既然是无望的爱情宣判了它的死亡,那么只有得到爱的人才能惩罚失去爱的人.而得到了爱情的人是Will Turner和Elizabeth.之前Davy Jones 又试图刺杀Elizabeth并置Will Turner于死地,这是他对伟大爱情的怨恨和报复,所以,他注定要被爱情毁灭掉.

Davy Jones 的心,最终被Will Turner刺中,永远不死的Davy Jones死去了.
最后海之女神Calypso化为海上漩涡,而Davy Jones也最后葬身在了这个漩涡之中.
Davy Jones诅咒它那爱着Calypso的心,切掉并没有起到作用,否认,也不会有效果,最后由爱生恨,也无法蒙蔽自己心的本来面目.
