话说,老师讲过那个 i didn't think否定的是后面的从句,那么,说话人过去认为“he wasn‘t to come back until tomorrom”.如果像这样后面整个否定的话,until又是一个难点,not...until,表示直到.才.就是“直到第二天的到来,他才会回来.”
全部翻译就是,“我们刚才在书店看到了John!我还以为直到明天他才会回来呢!”
