答：这是汉语思维造成的.
译1：哦,天哪!我找不到我的手机了.我想肯定是将它忘在寝室里了.
译2：哦,天哪!我找不到我的手机了.我想肯定是将它落 [la4声] 在寝室里了.
去查一下词典,forget和leave的用法.其中forget只有单宾用法,也就是只跟一个宾语：
forget (doing) sth./to do sth./ that-从句等等.forget 没有复宾用法
而leave除了单宾用法如：leave school之外,还有复宾用法：leave me alone.
而leave sth.somewhere 意思就是将“某物留在某地”.而这个“留”很多情况下是记性不好,忘记带走造成的结果,所以汉语常说：将东西忘在了某地.而同学们记得很牢的一个单词就是“忘记”=forget.从而会在这里用forgotten,反而不太会用left,因为leave的汉语意思就是“离开”,“留下”.
以后不说将东西忘在某地,改说“将东西落在某地”好了.
