Mary is THE TALLEST OF the three girls / OF all the girls -------有of 存在,三者或三者以上比较.
又如：Shanghai is THE BIGGER OF the two cities here
Shanghai is THE BIGGEST OF the four cities here
2 had better do A than B 最好做A而不做B） -------- BETTER -- -THAN -- - -是比较级关系.
