This story happened 15 years ago but it has always stayed with me since then ,On the way back from work every evening,He looked to be in his late 40s but was probably a lot younger,People say they can tell a lot from a person's eyes.It was certainly ture in his case .He always waved at every car,he was always happy and smiling ,and sometimes almost dancing.
Every day after work I work remember to gather all my change together and give it to him if I saw him.Ifthe red light was on for a minute we would talk a little.His answer would always be the same ,"I'm lucky!"Itwould remind me of how happy I was:s single mother of four amazing kids,with a place to live and a job to support us all.
Then one day I was unemployed because of the economic crisis .A feeling of worry filled me.On my way home that day I was very sad.I didn't give him any coins this time.While I was waiting for the green light,he walked over to my car .He had a big smile,saying,"Today I will give you a dollar."He then took out a dollar bill.I was blown away.And I couldn't help crying.
He gave me more than a dollar bill.He taught me a valuable lesson.No matter What material things are taken from you,no one can take away your choice to be joyful .I had lost my job and had no savings,but I knew I was happy!

直至某日我因为经济危机被解雇了,担心苦恼成了我生活的主流.那日我回家的心情很悲哀,这回我没给他一分钱.在我等待绿灯亮的时候,他走向我的车,脸上挂着大大的微笑说：“今天我给你1美元”.然后他拿出了一美元硬币.我被震撼了,泪流不止
他给予我的不仅仅是那一美元.他给我上了很有价值的一课.不论你失去多少物质,永远不会有人让你失去开心的权利.我失去了工作也没有存款,但我知道我很快乐!
