Firstly,the Gold is the symbol of Jesus Christ as King of Kings,Lord of Lords in the future.Secondly,the Frankincense is the symbol of Jesus Christ as high priest.
Thirdly,the Myrrh is the symbol of Jesus Christ as a prophet,.
Myrrh tastes bitter,he guided the world from sin to holiness of life.He drank the bitter cup of God to save people ,even willing to die for mankind crucified.That was really a painful life.When he was buried,Nicodemus prepare for the funeral with about one hundred pounds aloes and myrrh from corrosion.
