1,CKOM Item 3.5 “-Buyer has requested GE to investigate the implementation of motor failure input signals from MCC to TCP for some key motors.Buyer would like to request the failure signals of two AC lube oil pumps and one DC lube oil pump to be wired to TCP and to be indicated on HMI.GE will respond accordingly.The Command signals of GE supplied motors will be controlled by GE TCP.”
GE answer:GE agrees to accept 3 electrically isolated contact inputs wired to the Turbine Control Panel indicating motor failure for the two AC lube Oil Pumps and the DC Lube Oil Pump.These inputs will drive logic that will display this failure status on the HMI.Customer to supply these 3 electrically isolated Contacts from Customer Supplied Motor Control Center and DC Starter.Contacts shall Open to indicate Failure.
2,CKOM Item 4.2 “-Buyer informed GE that TCP will be installed in local control room which is closed to main skid.Contract states 100 Feet between TCP and main skid.What is the maximum allowable distance between TCP and the package?And GE to provide an estimate on the heat dissipated by the TCP when in operation so Buyer can provision adequate cooling”
GE answer:The allowed distance is 100m between TCP and package.The information of TCP outline,weight and heat dissipation please refer to provided TCP panels drawings on Jan 20th,2012.
3,CKOM Item 4.5 “-Buyer need to wire exhaust temperature signal to HRSG control.Buyer wants to know below questions,Can GE provide a calculated value of the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT)?If so,can GE also provide a recommendation for the best location for Buyer to install an inde-pendent temperature probe for measurement of EGT?Also,can GE provide the depth of this probe in the exhaust path?Can GE make a recommendation on the thermocouple type to be used for measuring the EGT?GE will provide an I/O list including all necessary signals exchanged between TCP and HRSG.”
GE answer:
1.- There isn't a calculated value for the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT).We have an algorithm to calculate the estimated exhaust flow and this is often used in other projects as an input to their HRSG.2.- The temperature is very constant in the exhaust flow path.GE recommendation is to measure at least 6'' in from the inner surface of your duct,at three or nine o'clock positions and within about 5 or 6 feet from he package exit.3.- GE would recommend using a thermocouple type "K".4.- GE Standard HRSG I/O list is attached.Please consider that HRSG signal exchange between GTG control system and HRSG depends on Boiler protection system manufacturer.GE has detected typical signals but customer would have to check and confirm with HRSG manufacturer which signals will be interchanged between Gas Turbine and HRSG.
