cater为及物动词,为啥我看他的用法是cater for sb难道不能用cater sb?

cater 既能作及物,也能作不及物动词.
cater for sb.= provide food for sb.
cater sb./sth.主要用在美国英语中.

再问：那个who catered your party,咋翻译，谁迎合你的派对，这样翻觉得不通啊
再答：翻译为：谁照顾你的派对？或者，谁给你的派对提供服务？

cater to sb. 才是“迎合某人”的意思。
