以幸福为主题的英语演讲范文
Ladies andgentlemen, honorable judges, Good afternoon
As we all know, there are so many important things in ourlife. Freedom, health, love, passion and so on. For us, they are all the thingsthat we want to keep forever. Buttoday, I’m going to talk about one simple thing that all of us cannot afford to lose——happiness
What is happiness? I constantly ask myself. But apparently, What makes you happy and what makes mehappy are different things. Therefore Happiness can be portrayed in manydifferent ways.
I believe that what we are ultimately searching for, is happiness. But today,in thesociety of consumerism, we seem to forget the fact that peoplewho have money, fame or power are not necessarily happy. Many people who have chased and foundfinancial and career success have discovered that they are losingsomething important. Of course, it is happiness. I am notadvocating that human beings should live in poverty .but if we look atsome of the richest families in the world, we will find again and again thattheir stories of unhappiness, stories of confusion, stories of misery, andstories of depression
Why is happiness so important? As individuals and societies, happiness is our highest goal and ultimate reason for living.
Happinessis not only important to our personal and social lives, but also importantto our global community. Unhappiness brings wars and terrorism. For example, some countries are unjustly attacking other countriesbecause they are not happy with someinternational realities. And many people become terrorists just because are[l1] deeply dissatisfied with some social, political, religious or economic problems.
In addition, a research is demonstrating that as we become happier, we become more compassionate, more creative, more energetic, and more healthy.
I truly believe that all of us canbe happy. So I want you to keep exploring the world of happiness. Ladiesand gentlemen,It is your life, live it happy[l2] . Because happiness, is what we cannot afford to lose.Thank you. Thanks for listening
