Nowadys, many middle school students like celebrating Western festivals, such as Christmas and April Fool’s Day.
In my opinion, celebrating Western festivals is a good way for middle school students to understand more about Western culture. At the same time, many Western festivals are very interesting.
However, there are also some disadvantages of celebrating Western festivals. For example, some students simply do it because Western festivals are popular among young people. In fact, they know nothing about the history of Western festivals. In some cases, students don’t want to celebrate our own traditional festivals because they think that traditional Chinese festivals are out of date.
I think we can combine them in a proper way.
