From the perspective of history and culture,it is no doubt that the Chinese and Western culture have their individual characteristics either from their beginning,development or their present pattern. One emphasizes group relations and overall effect, advocating big family theory;the other stresses individual ability and heroism, promoting long live the freedom. In the opposite effect of two cultural concept, we must integrate their ideology differences and find out the universality in the cultural level itself so as to promote the development of human culture. This paper aims to discuss the cultural differences between two sides to facilitate the study of cultural pattern between China and the Occident.
