万有引力(Gravitation)又名重力(Gravity)或重力相互作用(中国大陆常简称为引力,台湾在物理学场合下多称为重力).
在物理学上,万有引力或重力是指具有质量的物体之间加速靠近的趋势.万有引力即重力相互作用是自然界的四大基本相互作用之一,另外三种相互作用分别是电磁相互作用、弱相互作用及强相互作用.万有引力是上述相互作用中作用力最微弱的,但是在超距上万有引力仍然具有吸引力的作用.在经典力学中,万有引力被认为来源于重力的力的作用.(Gravity即重力亦通常被用作gravitation即万有引力的同义词).在广义相对论上,万有引力来源于存在质量对时空的扭曲,而不是一种力的作用.在量子重力中,引力微子被假定为重力的传送媒介.[1]
